These programs are designed for French native speakers or people who had their initial training in English. If you have difficulties in writing French, applying syntactic rules or functional lexical grammar and need a refresher, these courses are just for you.
Preparation Course for SEL / CEFRANC
This course is for those who wish to work in a Quebec school board and have to take SEL or CEFRANC exams. Both tests evaluate your competency in grammar and writing.
Preparation for Ottawa University Language Proficiency Examinations
This program is for candidates who want to register at University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Education and have to meet teacher training program requirements as well as language prerequisites of French language school boards in Ontario. It is also designed for those who had their initial training in English but want to take the optional French as a first language in a professional development program of education.
Preparation for SEL / CEFRANC / Exams – Ottawa University Exams
Six hours per week.
Daily or evening lessons.
Six yearly sessions.
Six to ten students per group.
Preparation for oral and writing tests.
Simple and complex sentence terminology.
Functional lexical grammar.
Text coherence and cohesion.
Different forms of writing: analytic, argumentative and narrative.
Oral communication rules.
